We are searching for an Accounting Manager. An Accounting Analyst performs all accounting functions related to insurance policies and agent transactions.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist clients and/or agents as required
  • Perform/process policy maintenance/policy loans, surrenders, first-year death claims, return of premium, refunds
  • Process daily billing and cycle, as scheduled, including transferring information to the bank and billing to third-party
  • Process and/or assist with reinstatement, surrenders to loan
  • Perform higher level accounting entries such as payroll
  • Process client and/or agent payments as well as related accounting transactions
  • Assist the Claims department with processing death claim checks and rescission
  • Assist with monthly, quarterly, annual close out entries
  • Assist other departments as necessary with accounting transactions
  • Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

  • Previous experience in Accounting required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
  • Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Experience with accounting software required
  • Must be able to work in fast pace environment and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive outlook
  • Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Degree in Accounting required – Bachelor’s degree preferred, Associate degree strongly encouraged, or relevant years of experience may be substituted for degree

  • Address basic questions and resolve customer concerns through consistent application of our policies and procedures
  • Ensure all policy changes are documented in writing or via audio recording
  • Document all policy-related calls in policy notes
  • Assist customers by taking premium payments through a variety of payment methods
  • Assist agents with commission or policy-related questions
  • Direct customers to the appropriate employees or departments when specialized assistance is required
  • Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor

  • Create advertisements for one or multiple different social media types (Facebook, Website) with the purpose of generating leads for the company
  • Place advertisements for one or multiple different media types:
    • Facebook: Place advertisements on Facebook to generate Facebook leads in multiple locations nationwide. Enter individual advertisement information into a google spreadsheet for each location for monitoring purposes.
    • Website: Place advertisements on search engines to generate website leads.
  • Track lead returns to monitor the cost and return percentage for one or multiple different social media types using excel, google sheets, and/or websites depending on the lead type.
  • Adjust advertisements as needed to maintain a preset goal cost per lead for one or multiple different media types.
  • Formulate weekly reports on lead costs and return percentages for one or multiple different media types.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

  • Experience in social media marketing
  • Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Ability to quickly learn or develop new strategies related to the marketing/advertising industry
  • Excellent computer proficiency (Google Sheets, MS Office – Word, Excel, and Outlook)
  • Ability to multi-task while also paying close attention to detail and remaining organized
